Your natural tooth is better for your overall oral health. By saving a tooth from extraction—and helping prevent the spread of infection—you are taking better care of your oral health. If a tooth needs to be extracted, we strongly recommend dental implant treatment. If you are not suitable for dental implants we offer dental bridge and denture treatments.
This depends on the state of your teeth. For minor imperfections, cosmetic chips or cracks we would recommend dental veneers. However, if you need something to support and strengthen the structure of your tooth then it may be better for you to have dental crowns.
Replacing a missing tooth has a number of health benefits associated with it. For example, if you replace a missing tooth with a dental implant it helps to keep your jawbone and gums healthy as well as preventing your other teeth from becoming crooked. Other tooth replacement treatments include dental bridges and dentures. However, the best tooth replacement option is generally considered to be dental implants.
Across our practices we offer Phillips ZOOM! teeth whitening treatments, available in both in-chair and take-home options. With ZOOM! in-chair whitening, you can brighten your smile up to 8 shades in one 45 minute appointment!

We value your safety and the safety of all our staff. To ensure we all adhere to government guidelines and restrictions within our practice, please make sure to:
Our dentists and dental assistants will be wearing masks and other appropriate PPE to ensure they limit contact with you during your appointment.
From 17 December 2021 in QLD and already in place in NSW, if you are not fully vaccinated (one dose or no vaccination), you can only visit critical retail premises. This means you can come to the dentist as this is critical medical care.
All dental practices in Queensland are required by law to comply with the Public Health Orders and Directions in place in the applicable jurisdiction. This includes the Workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction (Direction).
Under the Direction, everyone working in healthcare must be fully vaccinated by 15 December 2021 or have received an approved vaccination exemption.
Coastal Dental Care complies with government directions and at this stage, there is no government direction in NSW that covers dental practices.
If you feel unwell, or may be experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please contact our friendly staff to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
We may give you a quick call prior to your appointment to check your health status. This is to ensure you are feeling well and have not been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or aren’t currently waiting for your COVID-19 test results.
We are open for all types of treatment if there are no restrictions imposed by the government.
In the event of a lockdown, restrictions may include essential or emergency dental treatments. If you are unsure, please call and speak to one of our reception staff for more information.
Yes, we are open for all types of treatment. There are no restrictions on dental treatments at present.
If you live in a non-restricted border zone area in QLD or NSW (please check QLD health website for details) and want to receive essential dental treatment at your dentist in the other state, you are not required to be vaccinated to cross the border at this stage.
From 13 December 2021, fully vaccinated border zone residents with a border pass will be able to move freely across the border without requiring COVID-19testing.
As the government’s health departments review information, this directive may change. Please refer to your local health department for current information on vaccination requirements.
If you have trouble getting across the border, please call your regular Coastal Dental Care practice in NSW or QLD. Our friendly team will be able to refer you to the closest Coastal Dental Care practice in your State. They will also be able to transfer your dental records to your new dentist so that they are up to date with your current treatments and can provide you with the best care.
If you are a resident at the NSW/QLD border, you will still be able to attend your dental appointment at your local Coastal Dental Care practice in New South Wales or Queensland – if it is where you usually receive treatment.
Please contact your practice to let the team know you are entering their respective border zone if needed. This means the team can prepare accordingly for your arrival.
You may need to complete an online border declaration and obtain a border pass to enter NSW or QLD. You can apply for your border pass here. In addition, you may have to show proof of your appointment (a letter provided by us) if requested by border checkpoint personnel.
Our practices will provide you with a letter before and after your treatment as proof. Please contact them via phone prior to your appointment to arrange the letter.
