Coastal Dental Care would like to extend a warm welcome to our new team member Caitlin Wilkie at Mermaid Beach.
Caitlin Wilkie is a passionate Oral Health Therapist who recently joined our growing practice and looks forward to educating and looking after our patients, while making them as comfortable as possible.
Coastal Dental Care Mermaid Beach loves to support all patient’s oral health care needs. Located at the corner of Gold Coast Highway and Markeri Street, we offer free parking to our patients.
We have four dental surgeries, a 3-monthly kids club, and our friendly reception staff will make you feel at home. While you wait, enjoy your choice of a hot or cold beverage, on us. We also offer a selection of in-chair entertainment and iPad games for children in the waiting room.
Coastal Dental Care Mermaid Beach is preferred provider for Bupa, HCF and nib. We welcome Veteran Affairs, Child Dental Benefit Schedule, all other private health fund members, and patients without health cover.
Caitlin obtained a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Melbourne in (INSERT DATE) and worked as a dental assistant before undertaking her role as an Oral Health Therapist.
Before starting at Coastal Dental Care Mermaid Beach, Caitlin worked at National Dental Care in Byron Bay, as well as closely working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Northern Territory.
In the Practice
Caitlin is passionate about educating families and children about sugars, fluoride and general oral hygiene.
While working as a dental assistant, Caitlin was inspired by other Oral Health Therapists and was inspired to provide high-quality dental care and advice.
Caitlin is an enthusiastic team player who is always looking to further her skill set to best educate and treat patients.
Some of her goals include easing children’s dental anxiety and to put her patients at ease when visiting the dentist, providing pain-free local anaesthesia.
Caitlin is a hard worker who maintains a friendly rapport with patients. She has shown a strong commitment to providing the best in routine oral care for both children and adults.
Caitlin is proud of the work she has achieved so far in her career. Some highlights include volunteering and caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in East Arnhem Land.
It was Caitlin’s volunteering efforts that saw her fortunate enough to educate many families on the benefits of high-quality oral health, who may not have had the previous opportunity to so.
About Caitlin Wilkie
Caitlin was raised in Kilmore in country Victoria and currently resides in Byron Bay.
When not working, she loves a bite to eat with her friends and loves staying active. This usually involves surfing her local beaches in Northern New South Wales or snowboarding in Canada on vacation.
Caitlin is also an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves travelling and camping when possible.
